What to Expect
Consultation
At Estetiska Institutet, we tailor every treatment to the individual. We take the time to fully understand your needs, which is why your first visit is so important. During this consultation, you’ll meet with your plastic surgeon to discuss your wishes and expectations. Based on your health status and goals, you’ll talk through which treatment or treatments are best suited for you. Our surgeons have broad expertise and years of experience, allowing them to provide truly personalized recommendations.
At the same appointment, you’ll receive all the necessary information about your chosen procedure, and we’ll go over what you need to consider both before and after your surgery.
On the Day of Surgery
When you arrive on the day of your procedure, our team will greet you and help you change in our comfortable lounge area. You’ll meet your surgeon and anesthesiologist to discuss the procedure and ask any final questions. Our surgical department is state-of-the-art and equipped with the latest medical technology. Licensed nurses and specialists are by your side before, during, and after your surgery.
After the operation, you’ll wake up in our peaceful recovery area, where our staff will look after you in a calm and supportive environment. Depending on the type of surgery, you may either go home the same day or stay overnight. Before you’re discharged, we’ll provide you with verbal and written instructions about medications, post-op care, and any necessary sick leave. Your follow-up appointments will also be scheduled before you leave the clinic.
After Surgery
In the days following your procedure, it’s important to take things a bit slower and follow our guidelines to support your healing process. We’ll call you once you’ve returned home to check in on how you’re doing. You’ll also receive a direct phone number you can call at any time.
After surgery, you’ll remain in close contact with both your nurse and surgeon to monitor your recovery and the final results. Around two weeks after your procedure, you’ll return for a follow-up with one of our nurses. This visit ensures everything is healing as expected and includes removal of any stitches if needed. You’ll also have a later follow-up with your surgeon. Naturally, all follow-up visits are free of charge.
