Body Contouring
Body contouring refers to surgical procedures aimed at reshaping and enhancing the body’s silhouette.
The most commonly treated areas include the buttocks, abdomen, back, arms, and thighs. Techniques often involve liposuction in combination with skin removal procedures. In some cases, fat transfer is also performed. Multiple areas are often treated during the same operation depending on needs and preferences.
Liposuction
Liposuction is a surgical procedure that breaks down and removes fat and fat deposits from the body.
It is one of the most common plastic surgeries, and today’s techniques allow for contouring of nearly all body areas. Liposuction is also known as liposculpture. A well-performed liposuction improves the body’s contours and creates a more harmonious silhouette. However, it is not a method for general weight loss, and the best results are seen in patients who are at or near their ideal weight.
The results are long-lasting, as removed fat cells do not regenerate. However, to ensure symmetrical and even outcomes, the procedure must be performed meticulously. The fat cells left behind are just as important as those removed.
Renuvion (Skin Tightening)
Renuvion is a revolutionary skin tightening technology that can be used alone or as a complement to other procedures, such as liposuction. This innovative method combines helium plasma and radiofrequency energy (RF) to tighten and rejuvenate the skin without traditional surgery.
It is suitable for areas with loose skin such as the abdomen, back, thighs, upper arms, knees, and neck. Read more and view before-and-after images here här >>.
Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)
Achieving a flat, toned abdomen is not always possible through exercise alone. Pregnancy, weight fluctuations, or previous surgery can result in excess skin and abdominal folds. A tummy tuck can help restore a smoother, more even stomach and a defined waist. The procedure removes excess skin and fat, and often includes tightening of the abdominal muscles.
At Estetiska Institutet, tummy tucks are often combined with liposuction (lipo-abdominoplasty) for optimal, long-lasting results.
Arm Lift
An arm lift is designed to improve the shape and remove excess skin on the upper arms.
Skin and fat excess on the arms can be caused by weight loss or aging. This can be corrected through liposuction, surgical removal of excess skin, or a combination of both. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia and takes about one hour.
Thigh Lift
A thigh lift is a surgical procedure intended to improve the contour of the thighs.
Sometimes, sagging or excess skin must be surgically removed to achieve firmer thighs, especially when diet and exercise aren’t enough. The procedure stretches the skin and removes excess tissue. It’s often combined with liposuction of the whole or parts of the thigh to reduce volume. The operation is performed under general anesthesia and takes approximately two hours.
Back Lift
A back lift removes excess skin from the back to improve its shape and the overall contour of the torso.
Excess skin and fat around the bra line can be a source of discomfort for many women. Minor excess may be treated with liposuction, but more substantial cases may require surgical removal of skin, combined with liposuction. The scar is placed horizontally in line with the bra to be easily concealed. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia.
Buttocks
Buttock enhancement has gained popularity in recent years and can be performed using various techniques. The traditional method, Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), improves shape and volume by transferring the patient’s own fat. Combined liposuction of the abdomen, waist, and hips creates a lifting effect and enhances the waist-to-hip-to-thigh ratio.
A BBL requires an adequate amount of excess fat to transfer. For slimmer patients with limited fat reserves, buttock implants may be a suitable alternative. We offer gluteal augmentations with implants (Polytech/Sebbin), which provide excellent results and relatively quick recovery. In some cases, a hybrid technique—combining implants with fat transfer—is recommended. Hybrid procedures are always performed in two stages.
Intimate Surgery
At Estetiska Institutet, intimate surgery includes labiaplasty and mons pubis liposuction.
The most common procedures are liposuction of the mons pubis and labiaplasty. The inner labia may appear too large or asymmetrical after puberty. Labiaplasty reduces the size of the inner labia to create better balance and aesthetics. These procedures are performed under general anesthesia.
