Dr. Anders Östlund
Senior Consultant, Specialist in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, Doctor of Medicine
Dr. Anders Östlund earned his medical degree from Karolinska Institutet. He completed his specialist training at Karolinska University Hospital, where he has served as a Senior Consultant in anaesthesia and intensive care since 1999. Dr. Östlund also pursued additional advanced training at the University of Pennsylvania. For several years, he worked as an anaesthesiologist in the United States at Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital (OHSU) in Portland, and as a shipboard physician for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.
Alongside his university hospital work, Dr. Östlund has held various positions in private healthcare, including at Sophiahemmet in Stockholm. He has also served as a helicopter physician and diving medical officer with the Swedish Navy. He actively participates in professional courses and conferences in his field and earned his PhD from Karolinska Institutet.
